Sweeeeeet, I thought when Kim Jong-Illmatic first told me about this whole new world. As a longtime amateur photographer, I was sure I was going to kick ass and take names with my adorable blue-and-black Diana F+ camera. Even before amazon.com had shipped my camera, I had already envisioned the hundreds of dreamy, streaky, melancholy photos I would take as I traveled to Paris, Madrid, and the 5th Avenue Met supermarket. 

As my friend The Baby would say: ERRONEOUS.

Turns out regulating the remote control is not the only thing Kim Jong-Illmatic is good at.  Armed with his trusty Holga, my dictator has taken some phenomenal photos in the past few months.

 

As for me? I take pictures like this one:

Oh yeah. I've totally got those Lomography skillz. Totally.

*I myself prefer his 2001 follow-up Stillmatic, if only for the so-lazy-it's-clever title.
